Jacqui Blowfield

Senior Planner & Accredited Bushfire Practitioner

Jacqui brings over two decades of invaluable experience, since joining Ireneinc Planning in 2007. With roots in local government and a history of offering in-house services to Tasmanian councils, Jacqui boasts a diversified project portfolio for both public sector and private clients, including intricate preparation of detailed submissions and the application management relating to a wide range of projects.

Jacqui has extensive experience in preparing and administering planning scheme amendment processes, including detailed submissions and attendance at hearings before the Tasmanian Planning Commission. As a testament to her expertise, Jacqui has made numerous appearances as an expert witness in planning appeals before the Resource Management Planning Appeal Tribunal, representing a myriad of public sector and private clients, and is adept in the mediation process.

Specialising in bushfire risk assessment, Jacqui is accredited by the Tasmanian Fire Service, having completed a comprehensive course from the University of Technology Sydney in 2011 on Development and Building in Bushfire Prone Areas. Her accreditation empowers her to certify Bushfire Hazard Management Plans and curate Emergency Plans tailored for vulnerable regions.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Jacqui is a fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia. She has served long tenures with the Tasmanian Division Committee and is currently part of the Policy & Advocacy Sub-committee, and creator of the Division’s online website/blog.
