145 Liverpool Street, Hobart

This proposal within the central Hobart area was for a 13 storey office building with dual street access and ground level retail. Consultation with Council guided the design of the development as well as input from professionals in archaeology, environmental auditing, heritage and traffic.

Elements encapsulated into the proposal which resulted in a desirable outcome included a public pedestrian walkway through the building to improve public amenity and the locating of vehicle access on Murray Street to maintain a constant street frontage along the main retail frontage of Liverpool Street.

The proposal provides a significant amount of ‘A’ grade office space, which is much needed within Hobart. The contemporary design of the building is grounded in respect for the urban fabric and heritage valued by the City of Hobart and its public.

Early integrated planning involvement ensured a streamlined assessment process, and general
support for the proposal.
